Integral blinds and sealed glass unit manufacturer Morley Glass & Glazing is feeling rosy after participating in Wear It Pink Day on October 23rd, in support of the charity Breast Cancer Now.
The Leeds-based specialist glazing manufacturer raised almost £2700 to support research into beating breast cancer, beating last year’s donation total of £1137.
Staff, customers and suppliers all took part in the day’s events, which included a company bake-off and cake sale, a raffle, and a swear jar. They also dressed up in their very pinkest outfits to support the charity – Managing Director Ian Short’s neon pink suit was a particular hit.
Participants in the raffle had the chance to win an enviable selection of prizes, including an iPad Air, a Canon digital camera, and iTunes gift vouchers.
Managing Director Ian Short said: “We’d like to thank all of our staff, customers and suppliers for taking part in this year’s Wear It Pink fundraiser at Morley Glass & Glazing, and for donating so generously to a very worthwhile cause. We’re delighted to have raised nearly £2700 to support Breast Cancer Now, whose aim is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050.”
