Uni-Blinds® integral blind manufacturer Morley Glass & Glazing is sponsoring the PACT Charity Two Day Harness Racing Extravaganza, which takes place on15th and 16th August in York.

Parents’ Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia (PACT) is a charity that raises money to support families whose children have cancer. PACT provides trips and treats, including holidays in its two caravans and accommodation at Pact House which is its home from home accommodation where families can stay whilst children are receiving treatment.

Champion jump jockey AP McCoy is guest of honour at the Harness Racing event, which is also being supported by Eddie Stobart Group.

Ian Short, managing director of Morley Glass & Glazing said: “PACT is an invaluable source of both practical and emotional support for children with cancer and their families. The Harness Racing weekend is a fun and exciting fundraising event which we are really pleased to support.

“PACT was formed in 1977 by eight parents. At that time a child with cancer had a 55% chance of being alive 10 years after diagnosis. Today that chance has improved to more than 75%. This is a fantastic step forward but there is still so much more that can be done –and that requires ongoing fund raising and investment.”
