ClimaGuard™ 365

High-performance low-e glass providing year-round solar control and thermal insulation for every home

ClimaGuard 365

Harnessing Guardian's proven solar control and thermal insulation technologies, ClimaGuard™ 365 makes living spaces more comfortable, more beautiful and more energy-efficient.

ClimaGuard™ 365 is high performing low-emissivity glass that’s perfectly suited to modern living. Working in the background with the technology sealed within the IGU, this revolutionary glass combines superior thermal insulation with outstanding solar control to keep homes warm in winter and cooler in summer.

Developed collaboratively by ToughGlaze, Guardian Glass and Morley Glass, ClimaGuard™ 365 is a glass for every day of the year.

With these capabilities, it is no surprise that ClimaGuard™ 365 is fast-emerging as the perfect choice for domestic windows and doors.

As the logical upgrade for glazing on elevations exposed to regular, prolonged sunshine, it’s a product that homeowners and property developers value to achieve comfortable homes 365 days a year.

ClimaGuard™ 365’s key benefits include:

  • Excellent heat reflection to keep homes up to 9°C cooler in summer
  • Heat retaining properties that ensure homes stay warm in winter
  • Beautifully clear to maximise light transmission and visibility
  • Controls glare from bright sunlight and reduces UV light to lower risk of furniture and furnishings fading

Next generation solar control glass

ClimaGuard™ 365 features a virtually invisible, multi-functional coating applied to the inner face of the glass used for manufacturing double or triple glazed units. Developed by Guardian Glass, one of the world’s leading glass manufacturers, this SunGuard™ SuperNeutral® (SN) 75 product offers high selectivity solar protection on a neutral-looking glass.

Perfect complement for integral blinds

One of the main reasons why homeowners choose integral blinds is to provide an easy way to reduce the amount of heat and light entering their homes through windows and doors. When you add ClimaGuard™ 365 to the mix, the extent to which the integral blind unit controls heat and light is boosted significantly – and it provides protection whether the blind is open or closed.

Turning down the heat in summer

With UK summers becoming warmer and experiencing more intense heatwaves, many homeowners are looking at ways to make their homes more summer-resilient. ClimaGuard™ 365 is a powerful tool to do this, with the potential for IGUs made using this glass to reduce the temperature by as much as 9°C* between the outside and inside – a noticeable reduction without the need for energy-hungry air conditioning.

Retaining warmth for energy efficiency

The selectivity that Guardian SN75 provides means ClimaGuard™ 365 has dual-functionality – reflecting heat in summer and preventing it escaping at colder times of the year. Its thermal insulation performance is demonstrated by its Ug value of just 1.0 W/m²K, matching the capabilities of many of today’s low-e glass products and offering a significant enhancement versus standard glass. By providing heat retention exactly when our homes need it, ClimaGuard™ 365 is a glass that’s ideally suited to energy efficient homes.

Maximise light transmission

One of the remarkable aspects of ClimaGuard™ 365 is its ability to control solar energy without noticeably impacting on the window or door’s appearance. The glass remains neutral in appearance and energy-efficient for many years, whilst maintaining 75% visible light transmission in a double-glazed IGU.

Suitable for all types of windows and doors

ClimaGuard™ 365 is compatible with integral blind units installed in all types of windows and doors, including standard casements and fixed lights, sliding doors, bi-fold doors, skylights, conservatory sidewalls and glazed extensions. It is particularly well-suited to windows and doors facing south and south-west because they are more likely to be exposed to long periods of sunshine.
