CRUSH  -  Glass Recycling Leeds

Recycling glass in Leeds & Yorkshire, and helping charities, schools and communities who may need our help to improve the environment

We have recently teamed up with glass manufacturer Saint-Gobain Glass to install a glass crushing machine that enables us and our customers to recycle glass from old windows and doors. We deliver more than 3,500-4,000 sealed units with integral blinds inside every week to our customers throughout the UK and our fleet of vans were returning empty to our factory.

Now we are asking our customers and local tradespeople to give us their glass from old windows and doors, that have come to the end of their useful life (post-consumer glass). We crush the glass into cullet and return it in bulk to Saint-Gobain Glass, who pay us for the glass cullet, which they use to make new glass. Our customers and local tradespeople can use our recycling service free of charge – saving them the cost of skips and landfill taxes.

Local schools and charities across Yorkshire that focus on improving the environment can apply to us for a donation from the money we receive for the cullet, which could amount to £50,000 per year. We’d love to see the money used to create nature reserves, butterfly gardens, wildflower gardens, sensory gardens – even allotments in schools – anything that improves the local environment.

If you are aware of a project in Yorkshire that will improve the environment and requires funding contact us by clicking the button below and complete the application form to be considered for a donation.
