Anyone that knows Morley Glass & Glazing knows that we always go the extra mile – quotes in 60 minutes, delivery of integral blinds in 10 days, service engineers that are ready to help – top notch customer service and product excellence are key.

So, it will come as no surprise that our sealed units are sealed not just once but twice – dual sealed. That includes our standard sealed units (or IGUs) as well as those fitted with integral blinds inside.

Whilst it may seem obvious, not all sealed units are the same. The specification of glass type, spacer bar and cavity fill will give you the desired U-value and g-value to meet the Window Energy Rating (WER), but how much do you really know about what’s gone into making the sealed unit?

Two seals are better than one

All our sealed units are Argon filled and feature a double seal which helps guarantee the quality and energy performance of your windows and doors long term – and keep customers happy and coming back.

Two seals mean extra protection – giving you peace of mind that you won’t have problems in the future. The secondary seal also gives the IGU its structural strength, ensuring there is no chance of movement once installed. This is especially important in larger units used in patio and bi-fold doors.

It means that our IGUs are impermeable to gas and moisture and, thanks to skilled manufacturing with the correct amounts of quality sealants and desiccant, installers can be confident that the windows they fit will save householders money and energy for years and years.
